Fees

Fees for a standard session range from $185 to $290 per session depending on your clinicians level of experience. Health Partners members are offered a discount on individual session rates. Details of our fees can be obtained by contacting our friendly client relationship team

Medicare

Medicare rebates are available for Clinical and General Psychology services provided under a Mental Health Care Plan. A mental health care plan is completed by your GP and provides access to Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group therapy sessions per person, per calendar year. These sessions can be conducted face to face or via online therapy. Your referring GP will schedule a return visit to review your progress after the first six psychological therapy sessions. At this point, your GP will provide a re-referral for an additional four sessions, if required.

As of 01/11/2023, Medicare will rebate:

• $137.05 per standard consultation with a Clinical Psychologist
• $93.35 per standard consultation with a General Psychologist
• Medicare rebates may be claimed at the practice on the day of your consultation.
  

Medicare rebates are also available to patients referred by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician under the Better Access to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and General Practitioners through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (or “Better Access”) initiative. When referred by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician only a referral letter is required.

Private Health

Private health insurers may provide rebates for Clinical and General Psychology services – please confirm your level of cover with your insurance provider. As the rebate varies between insurers and the level of cover your have chosen for your individual policy we are not able to provide information regarding the rebate here.

NDIS

NDIS provides psychology funding and support for people diagnosed with psychosocial disability and/or to help improve daily living skills.  Standard 50 minute session for approved people under the NDIS is $234.83. Supported Minds accepts NDIS patients who are self managed and plan managed.

Cancellation Policy

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. If cancelled with less than 24 hours before the appointment time or in the case of non-attendance, there is a cancellation fee of 100% of the session fee, which you are not able to claim under Medicare or Private health.

We appreciate your support in changing appointment times as early as possible so that any cancelled appointments can be allocated to other patients on our waiting list.

We are not a bulk billing practice. A Mental Health Care plan rebate does not cover the full session fee.
